PSG have entered the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres, according to Portuguese media.

The Sporting CP striker has been in mind-boggling form since his summer arrival, netting 36 goals and contributing 14 assists in 39 games so far this season. This has seen the Swede become one of Europe's most in-demand strikers.

Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause, so he won't come cheap. On the contrary, there have been reports that the Lisbon giants could look to get him to pen a new deal with an even larger exit clause in a bid to maximise the potential profit on him.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd have all been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, but it is the Gunners who have made Gyokeres their number-one target for the summer, as FootballTransfers exclusively revealed.

The north London giants will, however, also face stiff competition from France, if the latest reports out of Portugal are to be believed.

PSG want Gyokeres

According to A Bola, PSG have now joined the race to sign Gyokeres. It is claimed that there is a section of the club that has become infatuated with the Swedish striker as they prepare for life without Kylian Mbappe.

Sporting, for their part, have no intention to sell for anything below the €100m of his release clause. Despite the size of the sum, it would still make Gyokeres a cheaper option than Victor Osimhen, who is a top target for PSG and Chelsea. The Napoli superstar has a €130m release clause.

Relations between PSG and Sporting are said to be good after last summer's record transfer of Manuel Ugarte, who headed to Paris for €60m. It is not clear yet whether PSG will make a move for Gyokeres, but they are certainly keeping tabs on him.
