Chelsea tipped to offload FIVE academy graduates
A busy summer transfer window lies in wait for Chelsea, with Todd Boehly reportedly willing to offload as many as five players who came through at Cobham to help balance the books.
The Blues made a pre-tax loss of £90.1 million last year, and one of £121.4m the year before that. Premier League financial regulations only allow for a £105m loss over a three-year period.
American billionaire Boehly may have deep pockets - more than £1 billion has been spent on players since he arrived in May 2022 - but their summer shopping list keeps growing bigger.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is a top transfer target, while they are reportedly ready to compete with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for Lille's prodigious defensive talent Leny Yoro.
Those two alone carry values of €75.1m and €21.6m per FootballTransfers' in-house algorithm, and sales will need to be made if they are to meet their claim that they are operating within the rules.

Hall joined by Gallagher and more
"Newcastle will soon trigger a clause to sign Lewis Hall for £28m at the end of his loan deal," reports Nizaar Kinsella for The Evening Standard, before highlighting the other former academy players who could join him.
"Further homegrown stars, including Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja and Ian Maatsen, could also be sold, allowing significant room to make further signings."

As homegrown players, Gallagher and Co. would represent pure profit should they be sold. Collectively, the four mentioned could generate a further €100m (£85.5m) per our algorithm.
Further sales beyond theirs are to be expected. Romelu Lukaku carries a world class reputation, if not the performances any more, and Boehly will make another attempt to offload him to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
Thiago Silva looks likely to return to Brazil and Fluminense - hence the interest in fellow centre-back Yoro - but there will be no transfer fee involved for the veteran Brazilian.
