How Chelsea can sell €250m worth of REJECTS to fund Osimhen deal
Chelsea need to make summer sales in order to land their big transfer targets, but thankfully for manager Mauricio Pochettino and owner Todd Boehly, that should prove little problem for the Blues, with more than €250 million of players just waiting to be sold.
It promises to be another exciting summer for Chelsea fans, with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen earmarked to arrive at Stamford Bridge as the London giants aim for the type of prolific striker who can elevate them back to the standard of the Champions League team.
In order to land Osimhen, who will cost in the region of €120-130 million, the Blues need to make sales to comply with the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

Chelsea have plenty of options in terms of who they can offload – and it may even be that Pochettino is able to win his war with Boehly to retain the services of Conor Gallagher.
Let’s start with the big-ticket sales.
Raheem Sterling has been deemed surplus to requirements and has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €60m.

Similarly, Marc Cucurella can go after a disappointing campaign, with the Spaniard boasting an ETV of €31m. Trevoh Chalobah could equally raise €24m and is particularly attractive to sell due to his status as an academy player.
Gallagher would fall into this bracket, with the midfielder’s value calculated at €39m, although Chelsea would likely ask for more to part with the England international.
Loan army up for sale
Where Chelsea can really get some significant money, though, is from their loan army.
While the Stamford Bridge club are no longer allowed to send players out in the same numbers as they once were, there are six stars already plying their trade away from the club. Some of these players are already forgotten by Chelsea fans yet could raise sizeable sums.
Romelu Lukaku, for example, has an ETV of €34m. Finding a buyer was a problem last summer and could be an issue again this time around, though.
Armando Broja at Fulham is worth €18m, Ian Maatsen at Borussia Dortmund has an ETV of €17m while Lewis Hall’s estimated value is €9m, although Chelsea would likely ask for more.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment among Chelsea’s potential sales, though, is Kepa Arrizabalaga. Signed as one of the most expensive goalkeepers in history, his ETV has dropped to just €16m.
So there are €258m of potential sales just waiting to go. The potential for Chelsea to have a big summer of sales is there, now it’s just a case of finding buyers.
