Dortmund backed to sign Sancho permanently by Ballon d'Or winner
Jadon Sancho has been tipped for a permanent return to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund by a Ballon d'Or and World Cup winner.
The England winger is currently on loan at Dortmund, but could make his move permanent this summer after a dismal spell at Manchester United.
The Red Devils signed Sancho from Dortmund for €85 million in July 2021, but after inconsistent performances at Old Trafford, Sancho was frozen out of the first team by manager Erik ten Hag.

Thus, he rejoined Dortmund on loan to get his career back on track, with the German club paying a €4m loan fee to secure his services from January 2024 until the end of the season.
Sancho looks to be back enjoying his football at Dortmund, providing an assist on his second debut for the club, and scoring in the knockout stage of the Champions League to help BVB advance to the quarter-finals.
Sancho transfer to Borussia Dortmund
Germany legend Lothar Matthaus has been impressed with what he has seen from Sancho since he returned to Dortmund, and has backed the 24-year-old for a permanent return to the club this summer.
"We are happy to have him back. He wrote a good story the first time with Borussia Dortmund," Matthaus told FootballTransfers.
"You can see it, he needs time like any other player when you miss one year. Manchester United was not the best decision, it was not good for the player or good for Man U. Now he is in a good way, he is in a rhythm, he scored his first goal since coming back.

"I hope his story is not over and that in two months he will sign for Borussia Dortmund. I wish it for him, I wish it for Dortmund. I have this feeling he is very happy after this adventure in Man Utd. He does a really good job. The fans like him, the coach connects with him, and I think he can give Borussia Dortmund the quality back that they were missing."
German media have reported that a loan move could be Sancho's 'most likely' scenario next season, but the sale of Donyell Malen to a Premier League club could open the door for Dortmund to make Sancho's return permanent.
