Amad Diallo has deleted all Manchester United-related posts from his social media accounts, creating another issue for Erik ten Hag.

The young winger has been a peripheral figure at Old Trafford this season despite being tipped for an outsized role ahead of the campaign. Diallo headed into 2023/24 off the back of a quite stunning breakout season on loan Championship side Sunderland in which he netted 14 goals.

Speculation about his future was rife in the summer, with several clubs trying to sign the Ivorian. Before making a loan decision, however, head coach Erik ten Hag wanted to assess in pre-season whether the 21-year-old was already good enough to feature for Man Utd's first team.

That plan had to be unceremoniously discarded when the winger suffered a serious injury, keeping him sidelined until the turn of the year. Despite January interest, Ten Hag again opted to keep Diallo around - likely due to his spat with Jadon Sancho and Antony's underperformance - but the stunning form of Alejandro Garnacho has limited the right-winger to just 63 minutes of football.

Diallo wants out

Diallo, it seems, has had enough of his lack of playing time. The youngster has now deleted all Man Utd-related posts on social media and even changed his bio on X to the cryptic phrase "tout cela finira...," meaning "this will all end."

This comes mere weeks after he was overlooked by Ten Hag against Fulham, with 19-year-old academy graduate Omari Forson getting a surprise start instead. Diallo has not managed to get off the bench in United's past two Premier League outings, his last appearance coming in a 17-minute cameo against Nottingham Forest.

After Ten Hag's public falling out with Jadon Sancho and with Antony still not having recorded a single Premier League goal contribution yet this term, this potentially creates another issue for the Dutch coach in terms of his options on the right flank. More worryingly, it again raises questions about his managerial ability, with the drama seemingly never stopping at Man Utd.
