FootballTransfers revealed last month that United remain very keen on Kane ahead of the summer transfer market.

Jacque Talbot reported that if there is a willingness from the player to make a Premier League return, then the club will pursue him.

Signing Kane will not be a problem, with Talbot reporting that United could have a transfer kitty as large as €250-300 million this summer.

How much will Harry Kane cost?

However, Sky Sports reports that if United are to try and sign Kane, they will have to pay a huge fee.

Bayern have made it clear that any interested party will have to bid an amount more than what they paid Tottenham in order to even consider a sale.

The German giants splashed out a club record €95m for Kane to sign him from Spurs in the summer of 2023.

Whether or not United will be prepared to sanction such a massive outlay on a player who will turn 31 later this year remains to be seen.

Man Utd had been interested in signing Kane last summer but pulled out of negotiations as they were unprepared to meet Tottenham’s asking price. It is said Kane would have preferred to stay in England rather than move to Germany.

Bayern are said to be generally unwilling to sell Kane this summer as he has enjoyed a brilliant personal season.

Despite a dip in form in recent weeks, he has scored 31 goals in 32 appearances for the club. However, he is at risk of once again going trophyless this season as Bayer Leverkusen are 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.

It is also reported by Sky that Tottenham have a first option to match any bid that is received by Bayern for Kane.
