Solskjaer's coaching return picking up steam as Tuchel faces Bayern axe
Thomas Tuchel could be sacked if Bayern Munich lose their crucial Champions League clash with Lazio, according to German media.
The former Chelsea boss will depart the record German champions this year. However, while the initial plan had been for Tuchel to leave at the end of the season, recent results may yet require immediate action.
After only mustering a 2-2 draw against a tired Freiburg side that had been struggling with injuries and competing in the Europa League, Bayern find themselves seven points adrift of league leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who still have to play on Sunday.

According to Sky Germany, Tuchel could be sacked if Bayern fail to overturn their 1-0 first-leg deficit against Lazio in the Champions League next week, potentially paving the way for a stunning managerial return.
Ole back at the wheel?
Already in mid-February, the same outlet reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was being considered as a potential interim option should the need arise to fire Tuchel prematurely.
The latest report reiterates that the Man Utd legend is among the potential options, however, what could potentially work in Tuchel's favour is the fact that there is still no consensus among Bayern chiefs on who should replace him in the event of his sacking.

Despite Solskjaer's availability and apparent willingness to take the job, he is not considered the 'top option' by every Bayern bigwig. Internally, the hope is that Tuchel and his players can be successful against Lazio to avoid having to pull the trigger and look for a new coach with just a few months left in the season.
Bayern's priority for the summer is still recruiting Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso and it is claimed that having to go through the process of finding and appointing an interim fix is considered the 'worst-case scenario.'
