Rashford to PSG: The truth behind the transfer rumour
Marcus Rashford has once again been linked with a potential transfer from Manchester United to PSG.
The Star reports that the Ligue 1 leaders are preparing a €90 million (£80m) bid for the England international striker with wages of €600,000 (£500,000) per week.
Rashford would, of course, be arriving as the heir to Kylian Mbappe, who will leave the club in the summer, probably to Real Madrid, when his contract expires.

For many Man Utd fans, this is welcome news. The attitude of Rashford this season has been more erratic than his form, which has seen him net just seven goals in all competitions this season.
Would PSG really be willing to invest such a sum in the 26-year-old? It would mean effectively going all in with the much of the money they would save from Mbappe’s wage if they did.

Why PSG won't sign Rashford
Logically, Rashford will not be playing in Parc des Princes next season.
Once during PSG’s ‘bling-bling’ era, logic counted for little, yet over the last 18 months, the project has become more rational. As such, links between the Englishman and the French giants are little more than the entourage of the Man Utd star working to keep his profile high after what has been an underwhelming season.
He fits little of the criteria PSG are looking for from their future players.
Luis Enrique’s side are seeking to buy young and, ideally, French. Their perfect addition would even come from the Paris region, which is a hotbed of footballing talent.
There is likely to be a little more ‘bling’ in their summer transfer plans than usual this time around given that they are losing their main pull in Mbappe and no longer have the likes of Neymar or Lionel Messi to spearhead the club commercially, yet Rashford is unlikely to be considered value for money.
Indeed, the giveaway over the truth behind these rumours is that news of all the interest is coming from England, with no indications from France that this deal is of interest to PSG.
Rashford continues to be linked with a move away from Man Utd, but like Jadon Sancho before him, brokering a transfer could prove complicated due to the huge sums of money involved.
