Arsenal receive brilliant Bruno Guimaraes update
Bruno Guimaraes would be open to leaving Newcastle United, according to a report.
The Magpies midfielder has become one of the Premier League's biggest stars since arriving in 2022 and this has naturally attracted the attention of bigger fish. The likes of PSG, Man City and Arsenal have all been said to be keen on the 26-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window.
It is thought that Newcastle will have to sell at least one big name due to their tricky Financial Fair Play situation and Guimaraes appears to be the most obvious candidate. Indeed, it has been claimed that Eddie Howe and company would rather cash in on the midfielder than on star striker Alexander Isak, who has also been linked with Arsenal.

Guimaraes has a release clause in excess of €100 million, but recent reports have stated that Newcastle won't insist on this fee when Champions League clubs come knocking due to a gentlemen's agreement with the player.
Guimaraes wants Arsenal, City
According to TEAMtalk, Guimaraes would certainly be open to leaving Newcastle, even if he won't actively try to force through a move. It is asserted that the prospect of joining Arsenal and working with Mikel Arteta appeals to the Brazilian, though he also wouldn't turn his nose up at a move to Man City.
The report further claims that this supposed gentlemen's agreement Guimaraes has with his club is actually a proper clause in his contract rather than something the two parties merely verbally agreed upon. Despite Guimaraes recently purchasing a new house in the Northeast, the 26-year-old would be ready to make a move this summer.

Arsenal and City, it is claimed, have already made contact with the player to test the waters regarding a potential transfer. Though the Newcastle star is not a priority target for Arsenal, the Gunners would not be averse to splashing the cash on him. FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal are poised for a summer window of record-breaking spending.
