Chelsea have been locked in an injury crisis for the past two years, although Mauricio Pochettino finally has the majority of his first-team available for selection.

The Blues' bench during their win over Tottenham Hotspur in early May had an average age of just 18.5, for example, but they have been buoyed by recent injury news.

Christopher Nkunku is now fully fit, and marked his return with a goal against Brighton & Hove Albion after replacing Mykhailo Mudryk, who suffered a concussion injury after a collision with Tariq Lamptey.

The likes of Ben Chilwell, Levi Colwill, Lesley Ugochukwu and Raheem Sterling are fully fit, with only six players on the treatment table at Cobham.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through the latest Chelsea injury update.

Chelsea injuries

Carney Chukwuemeka

Carney Chukwuemeka has missed most of this season through injury and while he was an unused substitute during the 5-0 loss against Arsenal, he was soon re-added to Chelsea's injury list.

Pochettino stated that Chukwuemeka had suffered a twinge of the same knee injury that ruled him out for the first-half of the campaign, but the Englishman is now back in team training.

Possible Return Date: Next season

Robert Sanchez

Robert Sanchez is back in partial team training, but he will not play again this season.

The Spaniard has been demoted to second-choice anyway and would likely have started on the bench even if he was fully fit.

Possible Return Date: Next season

Mykhailo Mudryk

Mykhailo Mudryk has been one of Chelsea's more regular players this season, due to a lack of injury problems, but the Ukrainian suffered a head injury against Brighton after a late challenge by Tariq Lamptey.

He has confirmed that his season is over and he will return next year.

Possible Return Date: Next season

Enzo Fernandez

Fernandez successfully completed groin surgery following the defeat to Arsenal after suffering with a hernia problem for several months.

Chelsea have confirmed that he will not feature again this campaign, but he is hoping to feature for Argentina at the Copa America.

Possible Return Date: Next season

Wesley Fofana

Wesley Fofana suffered an ACL injury during pre-season and has missed the entire campaign. He will not feature until 2024-25.
