Chelsea eye SHOCK Grealish transfer amid uncertain Man City future
Chelsea are reportedly interested in pursuing Manchester City winger Jack Grealish as they prepare to spend big yet again this summer.
The Blues have splashed over €1 billion on new signings since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital took over in 2022 and they have now identified Grealish as a possible summer target, according to Simon Phillips.
The Chelsea journalist told his Substack page: “Another winger I am told has been internally discussed at Chelsea recently, is Manchester City’s Jack Grealish.

“The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to his former club Aston Villa in recent weeks, and due to his bit-part role at City, there is a belief in the industry that he will be available for transfer this summer and also, he is likely to be open to moving to another club where he will have a more important role at.
“Chelsea have good transfer relations with City and of course, have signed Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer from them in recent years, both at reasonable fees.”

Jack Grealish to Chelsea?
Although a move to Stamford Bridge seems incredibly unlikely, Grealish would add experience to Chelsea’s youthful side - something Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to address this summer.
He only has three goals and three assists in 35 appearances so far this season, but Grealish plays a regimented role under Pep Guardiola and a move to Chelsea could enable him to rediscover the creative freedom under which he shone at Aston Villa.
A return to Villa Park has also been touted as a possibility for the England international as he faces an uncertain future at Man City. Although he has been reinstated into the starting XI in recent weeks, multiple reports have stated that Grealish could leave the Etihad Stadium once the 2023-24 season ends.
However, the reigning treble winners paid €117.5 million to sign him from Villa back in 2021 and would likely demand an eye-watering sum if they were to sell the 28-year-old.
If Grealish does join Chelsea, he would likely replace Mykhailo Mudryk as the Blues’ first-choice left winger. The Ukraine international has struggled since his €70m move from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, notching only six goals in a Chelsea shirt.
