Slot to Liverpool could solve Chelsea's Pochettino problem

In football, massive changes can transpire very quickly. In the space of just 24 hours, Feyenoord's Arne Slot has become the undisputed favourite to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and talks between all parties appear to be progressing swiftly and positively.
Slot's move to Anfield could also influence the managerial station at other clubs. Prior to this week, Sporting CP mastermind Ruben Amorim was viewed as the ideal man for the Liverpool job, but after some very brief but strong links to West Ham, his future is now completely open again.

The 39-year-old is one of Europe's most in-demand commodities and it is believed that he is keen to take the next step in his career after leading Sporting to glory in his native Portugal. The Premier League is seen as a very attractive option, but where could he possibly end up with Liverpool and West Ham out of the equation?
Amorim to Chelsea after all?
Step forward, Chelsea Football Club. Amorim was on the Blues' shortlist last year after the sacking of Graham Potter but they ultimately decided to go for the Premier League-proven Mauricio Pochettino instead.
However, after Chelsea were absolutely annihilated by Arsenal on Tuesday, pressure on the Argentine is close to reaching fever pitch and it is now being reported that the Argentine may not survive beyond this season even if it still seems unlikely that he will be sacked during the campaign.

According to a fresh report from the Daily Mail, Amorim is still greatly admired by the Chelsea hierarchy and could be an option should they indeed decide to pull the trigger on Pochettino. Chelsea will be wary of making another knee-jerk managerial decision, but Amorim, regarded as one of the best up-and-coming coaches on the continent, may just be worth the gamble.
