They may have endured a drought since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, but the Red Devils remain one of the most well-supported clubs in the world, despite their drop-off.

Man Utd’s top 10 all-time record goalscorers

Wayne Rooney is Man Utd’s record goalscorer with 253 goals in 559 appearances for the Red Devils.

The Old Trafford legend joined the club as a wonderkid from Everton and he was instrumental in their successes during Ferguson’s later years in charge. He won 16 trophies at Man Utd and is also the third top goalscorer in Premier League history.

Man Utd icon Bobby Charlton is the Red Devils’ second-highest goalscorer of all time. He netted 249 goals in 404 games for the club between 1956 and 1973. He sadly passed away in 2023.

Denis Law is third on the list thanks to his tally of 237 strikes in 404 matches. Law won the Ballon d’Or in 1964 and he helped Man Utd win the 1968 European Cup.

The fourth-highest goalscorer in Man Utd history is Jack Rowley. The Englishman scored 211 goals in 424 matches during a 17-year spell at the club.

Dennis Viollet and George Best share fifth place with 179 Man Utd goals apiece, while Joe Spence and Ryan Giggs are joint-seventh with 168 strikes each.

Mark Hughes is ninth thanks to his tally of 163 goals in 467 games, while legendary academy graduate Paul Scholes (155 goals) completes the top 10.
