Man Utd in 'CONCRETE TALKS' with long-time target
Manchester United are in 'concrete talks' with Jeremie Frimpong, according to a report.
The Bayer Leverkusen full-back is on the verge of helping his side make history by claiming the club's first-ever Bundesliga title. In recent seasons, the Dutchman has established himself as one of Europe's most dangerous nominal full-backs.
More a right-winger than a right-back under Xabi Alonso, Frimpong has been eminently productive for the Bundesliga leaders this term, notching 12 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. This has seen the 23-year-old once again become a sought-after commodity.

Last summer, Frimpong was reportedly keen to leave Bayer 04, but no move ultimately materialised. Man Utd were linked, but they had other priorities and were operating on a restricted budget. In October, the Dutchman extended his Leverkusen deal until 2028 with a €40 million release clause.
Frimpong to move?
The expectation when Frimpong penned his new contract was that he would leave this summer. This idea was seemingly thrown out the window earlier this week when BILD began reporting that the winger could have a change of heart and follow coach Alonso's example by staying at the club.
According to one of the German outlet's journalists, Christian Falk, this does not mean that he will definitely remain, although Leverkusen are naturally keen for him to stay. On the contrary, Falk has claimed that there are already 'concrete talks' taking place between Frimpong and Man Utd.

"Alonso and sporting director [Simon] Rolfes are working on a shared future with Jeremie Frimpong," he told CaughtOffside. "His contract until 2028 also contains an exit clause. The wing player can go for €40m. The clause would have to be activated before the start of the European Championship in June."
"Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United have registered their interest in the Dutchman. The management of Frimpong is already in concrete talks with United and Bayern."
