Rangnick can save Man Utd from Tuchel disaster as fans make SURPRISE plea
Infamous ex-Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick could save his former employer from making a major mistake.
The managerial merry-go-round is in full swing. Liverpool are closing in on Arne Slot, Xavi has surprisingly decided to stay on board at Barcelona, Ruben Amorim is once again being associated with Chelsea and then there are Erik ten Hag and Thomas Tuchel.
In February, it was announced that the latter would leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season after overseeing a very disappointing campaign that saw the perennial Bundesliga champions relinquish their grip on the title to Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen.

As for Ten Hag, he is under pressure after a similarly disappointing campaign and Tuchel has been touted as a potential successor. The 54-year-old is currently thought to be on a one-month trial to save his job. The Dutchman's antics are becoming increasingly desperate and Jose Mourinho-esque, so a change really might be necessary.
Be that as it may, FootballTransfers previously argued that Man Utd sacking Ten Hag and replacing him with Tuchel would essentially be fighting fire with fire. Tuchel is, in many ways, a Ten Hag 2.0 and would not be a good appointment.
Hiring Rangnick would cost Bayern a fortune
Ex-Man Utd interim boss Ralf Rangnick could yet have a part to play in preventing Man Utd from making a poor decision on Ten Hag and Tuchel. The 65-year-old is believed to be the frontrunner to replace Tuchel at Bayern after some positive talks.
However, it has now been revealed that the Munich side would have to shell out €3 million to buy him out of his contract. Rangnick is currently doing a good job with the Austrian national team and his deal was automatically extended until the 2026 World Cup due to his side qualifying for Euro 2024.

It is unclear whether Bayern would be prepared to pay that much for someone who, given his age, may not be a long-term solution. Additionally, fans of the Bavarian behemoth have begun petitioning the club to keep Tuchel in light of the good results in the Champions League.
More than 10,000 signatures have already been collected. The petition reads: "With all due respect to candidates like [Unai] Emery or Rangnick, these coaches can’t hold a candle to ‘Juppel’ [a combination of Tuchel's name and that of legendary Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes].
“Considering that the ‘Finale Dahoam’ [Champions League final at the Allianz Arena] will take place next season, Bayern Munich should actually be glad to have such an outstanding Champions League coach like TT.”
