EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd open to Rashford offers as Ineos look to cash in
Manchester United are open to selling Marcus Rashford in a bid to revamp the squad under Ineos, FootballTransfers can reveal.
Sources tell us that the burden of not achieving Champions League football this campaign will hamper the club’s transfer kitty for the forthcoming window and a number of home-grown stars could be moved on.
Rashford’s weekly wage of £425k inclusive of bonuses, has drawn scrutiny and raised eyebrows in the club’s inner circle.

We are told that the deal, which was approved by John Murtough and greenlit by Joel Glazer, is something that Ineos would not have signed off themselves if they were in the control of the Red Devils when the contract was sealed.
We understand, too, that the deal played a role in Murtough's decision to step down as football director.
Man Utd now face the daunting task of offloading high-earning players like Rashford - as well as Mason Greenwood and Willy Kambwala - to alleviate the strain on their budget. In fact, we are told up to 10 players face the chop.

How much will Man Utd have to spend in the transfer window?
We have learned that the repercussions of failing to achieve Champions League status once again will not only affect the men's team but also the women's team and community projects supported by the club. With dwindling resources and mounting pressure to balance the books, as well as Ineos’ desire to purchase major targets in the summer transfer window, along with upgrading infrastructure, means that some first-team players will be sold.
After a season in which Rashford netted a career-best 30 goals in 56 games in all competitions, he penned a new deal in July of last year, which expires in 2028.
