Tottenham have reportedly made Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez their 'priority' heading into the summer transfer window.

Journalist Rudy Galetti claims that the two clubs have been in contact for weeks and Gimenez is now Spurs' top target.

The Mexico international has scored 21 goals in 28 Eredivisie games this season, having scored 15 in the previous campaign.

He has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid, who could view him as an alternative to Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe is fully expected to sign for Los Blancos, however, which would give Ange Postecoglou's side a great chance of securing a deal.

Chelsea have also been rumoured to hold an interest, given that Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have not set the world alight at Stamford Bridge.

Should Spurs miss out on Gimenez to their London rivals, they could turn to Genoa's Albert Gudmundsson, adds Galetti.

Feyenoord star on the move

Gimenez's fine form has seen his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) rise to over €30 million.

His focus will be on finishing the season well with Feyenoord, but inevitably transfer speculation will start to increase as the summer approaches.

Under contract until 2027, he has shown himself to have a prolific touch in front of goal but also the type of unselfishness and cleverness that top teams crave.

Feyenoord reportedly set an asking price of €100 million in January but that could have half when the season ends.
