Romano drops update on Liverpool's next coach after Nagelsmann SHOCK
Niko Kovac and Thiago Motta are not in the frame for the Liverpool job, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Reds' coaching search continues. Jurgen Klopp will bring his legendary stint in charge of Liverpool to an end upon the season's conclusion and a replacement must be found.
After Bundesliga-winning Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso announced that he would be staying, another coach has officially rejected Liverpool. Julian Nagelsmann has somewhat surprisingly decided to extend his contract with the DFB and will lead the German national team until the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Liverpool in for Motta or Kovac?
One of the more shocking ones has been Niko Kovac. FootballTransfers explained earlier in the week that the links don't make sense and it seems that we were correct in our assessment. Fabrizio Romano has now shot down this rumour.
The Italian transfer expert also doused cold water on links between the Reds and Thiago Motta. The former PSG midfielder is working miracles at Bologna in Serie A and is really putting his name on the map. However, he is not being considered by Liverpool, according to Romano.

"With Niko Kovac, nothing at all, and also with Thiago Motta at the moment I'm not getting anything concrete with Liverpool. He's doing a fantastic job at Bologna, but at the moment I'm not hearing anything serious in terms of contact with English clubs in general."
