The 22-year-old is liked by Liverpool and Newcastle, as FootballTransfers exclusively revealed earlier this year, but now it’s thought that the Blues have entered the race.

The Daily Mail reports that Summerville is on the list of targets for the West London club as well as the Reds, Magpies, and Aston Villa.

The winger would demand in excess of £30m, states the report, though a lot could hinder on whether Leeds are promoted or not - the Yorkshire club recently beat Norwich City to enter the Playoff final.

Summerville has scored 20 times from 47 appearances and was named the Championship Player of the Season in April.

The same story states that the Whites will have to raise close to £100million in player sales if they fail to win promotion to the Premier League.

Leeds' financial concerns

The side will face either Southampton or West Brom in the final but should they fail to win the Wembley encounter, Daniel Farke’s side must look to move on some of their best stars, including Summerville.

There will have to be ‘significant sales approaching £100m to offset continued operating losses’ and this was even reduced to £34m by the transfers of Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City and Raphinha to Barcelona.

American owners 49ers Enterprises took full control of the club from Andrea Radrizzani last summer and have put onus on getting the side back into the Premier League.

Re-entry into the Premier League would ease financial concerns but there will still be work needed to be done to ensure that the club are fully in compliance.
