Fabrizio Romano: Man Utd and Arsenal have ‘CONCRETE CHANCE’ to sign €65m star
Fabrizio Romano has revealed the truth behind rumours linking Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi to both Manchester United and Arsenal.
The centre-back has long been a player linked with Man Utd, but recent reports indicate that Arsenal are stepping up the chase to sign the 23-year-old from Palace.
With William Saliba and Gabriel marshalling the heart of Mikel Arteta’s defence, there appears little need for additional reinforcement in this area of the side, but Guehi could provide a shrewd long-term signing given the potential he has.

Man Utd’s interest, on the other hand, is evident given the sweeping changes that are set to grip the Old Trafford club over the next year.
Romano has discussed the possibility of Guehi moving to either of these clubs in the Daily Briefing.
“The latest reports involve interest from Arsenal and Manchester United, but I can’t confirm these links yet,” he reports.
“Still, Guehi has concrete chances to leave Crystal Palace this summer. I can’t confirm clubs yet, as it’s still really early - the interest is there from several clubs, but it’s nothing really concrete yet.”

How much will Guehi cost?
Guehi is expected to fetch around €65 million (£55m) in the transfer market this summer, which is a fee that would make him the Eagles’ most expensive sale of all time, surpassing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
He has justified the hype in what has been an outstanding season for the Ivory Coast-born star. According to data analytics firm SciSports, he places comfortably in the top third of Premier League centre-backs this season, particularly excelling with his defensive positioning.

Guehi also has the seventh-highest ceiling of any centre-back, meaning this summer could be a unique opportunity for Arsenal and Man Utd to capture a player who could become truly world class in just a couple of years.
