Slot faces Liverpool nightmare with latest transfer twist
Liverpool boss Arne Slot faces the prospect of losing first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker following news of interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Slot, 45, was announced as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement at Anfield earlier this month and he will officially begin his reign at Liverpool in July.
The Reds have been linked with a number of players ahead of the summer transfer window, including a few of Slot’s Feyenoord stars, but they could be forced to cope without Alisson next season.

The Brazil international has been a revelation since arriving for €62.5 million from AS Roma in 2018, winning seven major trophies during his six-year spell at Anfield so far.
However, Alisson has received a three-year contract offer - with a huge salary included - from the Saudi Pro League, according to journalist Nicolo Schira.
It remains to be seen if Alisson’s head is turned by the contract offer he has reportedly received, but Liverpool will be reluctant to let him leave due to his immense importance.
Furthermore, the Brazilian has three years left on his current contract at Anfield, suggesting the Reds are in no need to sell him.

Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Pro League?
Saudi Arabian clubs are also interested in signing fellow Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, with the Egypt international currently one of their priority targets ahead of the summer window.
Al-Ittihad reportedly failed with a €235m offer last year and numerous Saudi Pro League sides are set to re-enter the race to sign Salah this summer.
However, he hinted at a Liverpool stay following the conclusion of the 2023-24 Premier League season.
After the Reds’ 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Salah posted on Instagram with the caption: “We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season. Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.
