OFFICIAL: Liverpool announce Arne Slot appointment
Liverpool have officially announced Arne Slot as their new head coach.
One of football's worst-kept secrets in recent weeks has finally been confirmed. Feyenoord coach Arne Slot will succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Liverpool dugout on June 1, 2024.
Klopp ended his eminently successful almost nine-year stint at Anfield on Sunday, signing off with a 2-0 win over Wolves and a lengthy farewell party. The German had been in charge of the Reds since October 2015, overseeing Premier League and Champions League triumphs among a host of other trophy successes.

After the games against Wolves, Klopp led an Arne Slot chant to the tune of Opus' Life is Life, essentially confirming the Dutchman's impending appointment. However, in truth, it had been known for some time that the 45-year-old was bound for the Anfield hot seat.
Slot's time at Feyenoord
Slot himself already announced the news last week, publically revealing that he had signed a contract with the Reds ahead of Feyenoord's clash against city rivals Excelsior, with his side eventually running out 4-0 victors.
The 45-year-old enjoyed three very successful seasons at the helm of the Rotterdam giants, leading them to their first European final in 20 years in his first campaign in charge.
We can announce Arne Slot has agreed a deal to become the club’s new head coach, formally taking up the position on June 1, 2024, subject to a work permit 🙌

Last term, Slot's side comfortably stormed to the Eredivisie title while they managed to win the KNVB Cup this season, having defeated Nijmegen earlier this month.
Slot is a two-time Eredivisie Manager of the Year winner and is regarded as one of the best young coaches in European football. The 45-year-old will be Liverpool's first-ever Dutch head coach.
