Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly keen to pursue a move for Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva.

Silva has previously been linked with PSG and Barcelona but decided to stay with the Premier League champions.

He has been integral to Pep Guardiola's side for several years, most recently in the 2023-24 campaign.

Silva played 48 times in all competitions this season, providing 12 goals and 10 assists.

The Portugal international can play as a central midfielder, attacking midfielder, winger or false nine, so there is almost always a place for him in the team.

Having already won six Premier League titles, two FA Cups (able to win another on Saturday), four EFL Cups and a Champions League, though, perhaps it is time for him to take on a new challenge.

Bernardo Silva to PSG?

According to Football Insider, Silva has been made available for a reasonable £50 million this summer.

And, while Barcelona are strapped for cash, PSG can easily afford to pay that asking price after Kylian Mbappe's departure.

Even though Mbappe is joining Real Madrid on a free transfer, the Ligue 1 club will save a fortune on wages.

There have been many reports that PSG are looking to sign young French talent as they enter a superstar-less era.

But, they only need to look at Chelsea to know that a team of almost entirely inexperienced players is not cut out for success.

As such, a proven winner like Silva would be an excellent addition to Luis Enrique's side.

The Spanish coach is said to be “big fan” of Silva and believes he would be a “sensational player” at the Parc des Princes.
