Man Utd target €70m goalkeeper to replace Onana
Manchester United are lining up a move for Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro as a replacement for Andre Onana.
That is according to Marca, who report that Man Utd are big fans of the Spanish goalkeeper who has established himself as one of the best in his role in La Liga over the past few years.
The 29-year-old has been in particularly excellent form in the last two seasons, with 23 clean sheets last term and approaching that figure again this term.

Remiro has a release clause of €70 million in his Real Sociedad contract but Marca reports that United will try to negotiate that price down.
United are now in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer after being left hugely disappointed by the performances of Onana this term.

Onana signed for Man Utd last summer for €51m - plus €4m in bonuses - from Inter Milan.
Big things were expected of the 27-year-old, who had enjoyed an outstanding Champions League season with the Nerazzurri last term, playing a key role in their run to the final.
He kept more clean sheets than anyone in the tournament, including five in the knockout rounds, as Inter narrowly and unluckily lost 1-0 to Man City in the showpiece in June. He was also heralded as the best goalkeeper in the world with the ball at his feet.
However, Onana has endured an error-prone season, even if he has improved somewhat in 2024.
He has conceded 81 goals in 48 games in all competitions, with United on course for their worst defensive record in decades.
He has made a string of mistakes, in particular in the Champions League group stage elimination in games against Galatasaray, Copenhagen and Bayern Munich.
Remiro is now being considered as a replacement for Onana in goal next season.
