Man Utd face Aston Villa competition for Dutch superstar
Aston Villa are interested in Denzel Dumfries, according to Italian media.
The Inter right-back is facing an uncertain future. His contract is up in 2025 and so far there has been little to suggest that he will extend his deal with the newly-crowned Italian champions.
Indeed, talks between the two parties are said to be at an impasse, with the Nerazzurri apparently unwilling to accede to the Dutchman's wage demands. Dumfries has played 130 games for Inter since joining from PSV in 2021, notching 10 goals and 20 assists.

Regarded as one of the best attack-minded full-backs in Europe, the 28-year-old is a sought-after commodity due to his contract situation. With an extension looking unlikely as things stand, Inter will be expected to sell him this summer.
Villa join Man Utd in race
Man Utd are long-time admirers of the Dutch international and have recently been linked again. In fact, not long ago, it was reported that Dumfries would be keen on the switch to Old Trafford, but the Red Devils aren't the only ones who are interested.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Aston Villa have now also registered an interest in Dumfries. It is not clear whether he would be as keen on a move to Villa Park as he would be on one to Manchester.

Inter are said to be demanding up to €30 million for the wing-back. Interestingly, and contrary to other Italian media, the article claims that Man Utd's interest has 'faded' and that this has been the case for some time.
It is asserted that Man Utd were intensely keen on Dumfries prior to January 2023 but that this is not the case anymore. Either way, it is clear that the Dutchman will be one to watch in the upcoming summer transfer window.
