Thomas Tuchel to sign Barcelona superstar for Man Utd
Thomas Tuchel will reportedly push to sign Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo if he is appointed as Erik ten Hag’s replacement at Manchester United.
Ten Hag, 54, is under massive pressure at Old Trafford, despite the club’s FA Cup triumph, and the Red Devils are currently conducting a post-season review that will determine whether the Dutchman remains their head coach.
Man Utd finished eighth in the 2023-24 Premier League season, eight points behind Aston Villa in fourth, and will play Europa League football next campaign courtesy of their FA Cup final win.

However, Ten Hag’s job is far from safe and several names have been linked as possible replacements.
Kieran McKenna was a leading candidate before he renewed his contract at Ipswich Town, while Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino are two of the favourites as things stand.
Tuchel is another legitimate candidate following his Bayern Munich exit. He is reportedly interested in a Premier League return and is expected to accept a Man Utd job offer if he is chosen as Ten Hag’s ideal replacement.

Thomas Tuchel wants Ronald Araujo
If Tuchel is appointed by Man Utd, he is set to prioritise a move for Araujo, according to Matteo Moretto.
The ex-Chelsea boss tried to sign the Barcelona defender last summer, but Bayern were unable to reach an agreement with the Spanish giants.
However, Tuchel remains a huge admirer and he will push to sign Araujo if he becomes Man Utd’s new manager.
Moretto told CaughtOffside: “As things stand, there is still no agreement, but they are still discussing a new deal. Time is not necessarily working in Barcelona’s favour. I think if a big financial offer comes in, then they might think about it, but that’s not happened yet.
“We have to wait and see where Thomas Tuchel ends up, because he is one of the managers that likes Araujo the most, and we’ll see if a Premier League club goes after him.”
