Man Utd put reliable star up for sale to fund €60m transfer
Manchester United have put Victor Lindelof up for sale as they look to sign Gleison Bremer, according to a report.
The Red Devils are looking to restructure their defence in the summer transfer window. Bolstering the backline has been a priority of Erik ten Hag's for a year and, though he may not survive beyond this season, it seems that this task will at last be undertaken this summer.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe's fresh funds provide a basis to build on, but Man Utd will need to be wary of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules. It is thought that the INEOS chief will look to offload several big earners in a bid to have more resources available for what is bound to be a summer of high-profile incomings.

Raphael Varane is expected to depart on a free transfer with the option to extend the Frenchman's contract still not triggered yet and no fresh terms forthcoming anytime soon. Furthermore, according to talkSPORT, Victor Lindelof has been put up for sale.
Man Utd want Bremer
The same report claims that the Red Devils are exploring a summer move for Juventus star Gleison Bremer. The Brazilian is a long-time target and has been linked with Man Utd for months.
The main hurdle is the fact that he won't come cheap, though he may still be a more affordable option than someone like Antonio Silva or Jarrad Branthwaite. Bremer has a €55 million to €60m release clause in his contract, but it only becomes active next summer.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, there is a gentlemen's agreement between the player's camp and Juventus that will see the Bianconeri consider offers in the region of his release clause already this summer. It does mean, though, that Man Utd or any other club would have to negotiate with the Old Lady rather than bypassing that step by triggering the clause.
