Talking of Scandinavian wonderkids, Tottenham beat a host of Premier League clubs to the signature of Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall.

Loan moves being made permanent

There have also been a number of loan moves that will become permanent at the end of the season. Two transfers in particular stand out.

The first is Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya. The Spaniard was initially signed last summer by the Gunners from Brentford on loan with an option to buy that would become permanent if certain conditions were met. Those conditions have now been met and Raya will join Arsenal for around €32m.

The second is Lewis Hall, who initially joined Newcastle on loan from Chelsea last summer. The left back will now make that move permanent this summer for €32.7m.
