Ten Hag's new rival: Man Utd boss gives verdict on Liverpool hiring Slot
Erik ten Hag believes that Arne Slot is the right man for Liverpool.
After Jurgen Klopp announced in January that he will be departing Anfield this summer, Liverpool have at last found their man to replace the legendary manager. The Reds have reportedly reached an agreement with Feyenoord for the appointment of Arne Slot.
The Dutchman has massively impressed in just a few years as a head coach, winning the Eredivisie title with the Rotterdam outfit last season and reaching the club's first European final in decades the year prior.

Slot has been a success wherever he has managed, in the second tier of Dutch football, then at AZ and now at Feyenoord. His next gig will be his biggest one yet, but it looks as though he is the right man for the job.
The 45-year-old has already all but confirmed that he will be heading to Merseyside this summer, repeatedly stating that he is confident the deal will get wrapped up and announced soon. Intriguingly, the former midfielder not only has a seal of approval from the Liverpool bosses and Jurgen Klopp but also from his potential future rival.
Ten Hag on Slot
Under-fire Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag has now given his verdict on Slot, against whom he previously coached in the Netherlands during his time at Ajax.
It is not yet clear whether Ten Hag will actually survive long enough as Red Devils boss to see Slot officially take the reins at Anfield, but the Dutchman certainly believes that his compatriot is a good appointment.

"It's fantastic for him," Ten Hag told Viaplay. "It's confirmation and recognition of his qualities. It's fantastic for Dutch football too." However, when asked if he had personally congratulated Slot, Ten Hag bluntly replied: "No."
