'No secret' - Arsenal & Man Utd target breaks silence on impending transfer
Youssouf Fofana has admitted that AS Monaco are trying to facilitate a summer transfer for him.
The Frenchman is in demand and expected to leave the Ligue 1 side after helping them to a second-place finish. Fofana was already being courted by big clubs abroad last summer but felt as though the offers on the table weren't quite what he was looking for.
After deciding to stay for another season, the central midfielder is now heading for the exit, though he is not trying to force a transfer. However, Monaco have resigned themselves to losing the France international.

The Principality club's CEO Thiago Scuro has admitted that the 25-year-old is likely to move on this summer. "He is probably one of the players that we are open to selling. We will see the opportunities that he has. It is still too early to make a decision," he said earlier this month.

Fabrizio Romano has since chimed in, insisting that Fofana is 'almost guaranteed' to leave Monaco this summer and the player himself has now opened up about the prospects of a departure.
“My future? I have spoken about it with the hierarchy, it isn’t a secret,” Fofana said, as relayed by GFFN. “We had exchanges and they agreed to accompany me in this new stage [transfer negotiations]."

"If it [a move] doesn’t happen, I still have a year left and I will be happy to stay. We were in agreement that we would accompany each other in this process in which everyone should be a winner, be it me or the club."
Fofana has repeatedly been linked with clubs such as Arsenal, Man Utd, Newcastle, Nottingham Forest and AC Milan. PSG and Atletico Madrid are the latest sides reportedly interested in the Euro 2024 participant.
