European giants open SHOCK talks with Romelu Lukaku
AC Milan have begun shock talks with Romelu Lukaku over a summer transfer.
According to Calciomercato, Milan officials have set up a meeting to discuss a possible transfer for the Chelsea striker to San Siro.
The report states that Lukaku will be a backup option for Milan should they be unable to complete the signing of their priority target Joshua Zirkzee.

Milan have long agreed personal terms and agreed to pay Zirkzee’s €40 million release clause but the move has hit a standstill as the Rossoneri are refusing to pay his agent Kia Joorabchian’s €15 million commission demands.
As a result, Milan have started to look elsewhere and Lukaku has been chosen as a backup.
It would be a shock move if it materialises after Lukaku spent two spells with Milan’s local rivals Inter where he won a Scudetto and reached the Champions League final.

Lukaku is not in Chelsea’s plans for next season following his return to the club after his loan at Roma this past season.
New Napoli manager Antonio Conte wants to reunite with Lukaku once again after the pair won the Scudetto together at Inter.
Lukaku is Conte’s number one choice to replace Victor Osimhen, who is up for sale this summer.
But Milan have now entered the race, also.
Chelsea have set an asking price of £38 million for Lukaku, which is deemed excessive by Serie A clubs.
Lukaku is currently playing at Euro 2024 with Belgium where has failed to score but had three goals disallowed in two games.
