Arsenal, Man Utd & Chelsea target reveals post-Euro 2024 transfer plan
Everton midfielder Amadou Onana has admitted he hopes to secure a “top” transfer following the 2024 European Championship.
The 22-year-old will be in action for Belgium at the tournament and has confirmed he is striving to earn a move to one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Onana has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park, with several elite Premier League clubs interested in signing him this summer.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked with the former Lille midfielder over the past 12 months, and he is deemed likely to leave Everton before the transfer window shuts.
FootballTransfers understands that Man Utd are interested in signing Onana as they look to sign a long-term replacement for Casemiro, who is wanted by the Saudi Pro League, while Arsenal are admirers too.
Chelsea’s interest has seemingly dwindled since the purchases of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia last summer, but the Blues could feasibly reignite a pursuit if Conor Gallagher is sold.

What has Amadou Onana said?
While on duty for Belgium, Onana spoke to Het Laatste Nieuw (via The Evening Standard) and revealed he intends to impress at Euro 2024 in order to secure a move away from Everton.
“At previous tournaments you have seen that the players who did well make the step up to the top clubs,” he said. “That’s something I strive for.
“I feel like presenting myself to the European top and showing what I have to offer. This European Championship is a stage.
Onana continued: “I want to be a much better player, and my goal is to play for an international world club in three years.
“I also want to have qualified with Belgium for the 2026 World Cup in America in three years. I dream about that. And I will do everything I can to make these dreams come true too.
“I have to and will answer this very professionally: I’m under contract with Everton - and I’ll leave everything else to the media. I’ll just do my best at the European Championships and then we’ll see.”
Belgium face Slovakia on 17 June in their first group stage match of Euro 2024, while Romania and Ukraine are also in Group E.
