Arsenal completely SHOCKED by Sesko snub
Arsenal have been left completely shocked by Benjamin Sesko’s decision to reject a move to them this summer.
That is according to CaughtOffside, who report on Wednesday that Arsenal were supremely confident of signing Sesko this summer.
The Gunners believed that a deal was all but done and that there were only some formalities to complete before Sesko would agree on personal terms.

Sesko had made it clear in negotiations that he wanted to join Arsenal over other interested clubs such as AC Milan.
And recent meetings with Sesko’s entourage had all pointed to the striker joining Arsenal.
It came as a huge shock when it was revealed on Tuesday that Sesko would be staying at Leipzig, and one that wasn’t communicated to Arsenal in advance.
Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday morning that Sesko had decided to sign a new contract with Leipzig with an improved salary.
Arsenal miss out on Sesko
Sesko had been Arsenal’s number one priority for the summer transfer market as they aim to sign a top striker.
But we reported that the Gunners had not submitted a bid big enough to trigger the player’s release clause of €65 million.
FootballTransfers can confirm that Arsenal launched a bid of €55m for the 21-year-old in the hope this was accepted.
It wasn’t and now Sesko will sign a new contract to stay at Leipzig next season.
Arsenal will now have to look elsewhere for a new striker, with another target in Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna close to moving to AC Milan.
Sesko scored 18 goals in 42 games for his club last season and will go to Euro 2024 with Slovenia later this month.
