Arsenal snubbed by another striker target - Romano
Serhou Guirassy has decided to join Borussia Dortmund, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The VfB Stuttgart striker has been one of Europe's most in-demand commodities for the best part of a year. Due to a bargain release clause, the Guinea international is available for just €17.5 million.
Speculation surrounding his future has been particularly rampant in recent months because Guirassy is coming off a stunning season in which he netted 28 times in 28 games for the Champions League-bound Swabians.

However, it has been evident for some time that the 28-year-old won't be playing in Europe's premier competition with his current club next season. Guirassy formally informed Stuttgart of his decision to leave recently and he has now found his next club.
Guirassy to join Dortmund
According to Fabrizio Romano, Guirassy has at last given the green light to a Borussia Dortmund transfer. The Champions League finalists had been working on this deal for weeks and have finally managed to convince the player.
The club will now proceed to formally trigger his Stuttgart release clause, having already done so with Guirassy's teammate Waldemar Anton, who will come in to replace club legend Mats Hummels.

If German media is to be believed, Dortmund have managed to beat competition from Arsenal to sign Guirassy, with the Gunners the only other team left in the race as of a few days ago. Chelsea had already dropped out earlier.
It must be said, though, that it always appeared a long shot for Guirassy to be heading to the Emirates. Though he would have suited Mikel Arteta's style, hence the tentative interest, his injury record and age ultimately made a move highly unlikely.
Arsenal are currently focusing on adding a new defensive midfielder after being snubbed by top striker target Benjamin Sesko, who opted to sign a new contract with RB Leipzig.
