Revealed: Chelsea target DREAMS of Real Madrid move
Julian Alvarez is unlikely to leave Manchester City this summer, despite links with several top European clubs.
The 2022 World Cup winner has played second fiddle to Erling Haaland since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium, but he has still racked up 103 appearances and 36 goals for Pep Guardiola’s side.
However, Alvarez is reportedly keen to be rewarded with more first-team football and he has been open to a move for several months, according to The Athletic.

Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Alvarez in recent weeks, but the Man City star has reportedly identified Real Madrid as his first-choice destination.
Despite this, The Athletic have reported that Alvarez will not join Los Blancos this summer following the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick.
A move to the Santiago Bernabeu is seen as Alvarez’s preferred choice if he leaves Man City at some point in the future, however given their attacking riches, a move may be tricky.
This may give Chelsea hope in their pursuit of the Argentine, although the Blues have seemingly switched their focus back to Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran.

Man City’s summer transfer business
While Alvarez is unlikely to leave this summer, Man City would immediately seek a replacement in the event that the former River Plate forward does depart.
Guardiola’s side are also interested in signing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, with Kalvin Phillips expected to depart after two years at the club.
In regards to outgoings, The Athletic report that Savio could be loaned back to Girona for the 2023-24 season, while Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva’s futures remain slightly uncertain.
Ederson has also been linked with an exit and Man City would be forced to dip into the goalkeeper market if the Brazilian ends up leaving.
