Five Arsenal players who need a transfer this summer
Arsenal will continue to push for a Premier League title next campaign- but after two seasons of near misses, something must change.
Mikel Arteta knows his best starting XI now and will be ruthless in ensuring that he finally topples Manchester City. And this might mean upsetting a few members of his squad.
Indeed, as a consequence of this, some fringe players will miss out, and their game-time diminished still further as new faces are brought in.

Game time is a huge part of a player's development and so FootballTransfers has listed five players who must move on to rejuvenate their careers.
Aaron Ramsdale
Aaron Ramsdale was taken out of the starting XI by Arteta, who brought in David Raya. The Spaniard is set to seal a move to the Emirates this summer, meaning that Ramsdale is likely to miss out again next term.
He has been linked with moves to Newcastle and even Chelsea, but nothing has transpired so far. The shot-stopper is in the prime of his career and knows he can't wither away on the Gunners bench.
Eddie Nketiah
Eddie Nketiah is the subject of interest from Brentford and Crystal Palace, but no offer has been made yet., Arsenal gave him the No.14 shirt with hopes he can emulate Thierry Henry one day, but it's been nothing close to that for the striker.
He is a very capable footballer but probably not quite good enough for the elite level. He must find regular game-time and get back into the swing of things. The likes of Brentford or Palace would be a brilliant opportunity.
Reiss Nelson
Reiss Nelson joined Arsenal as a nine-year-old before progressing through the ranks and into the first team but has struggled for game time. He clearly has an emotional attachment to the club, but to develop, he must ask to leave and search for greener pastures.

The likes of West Ham and Nottingham Forest have been linked to the winger who started just once in the Premier League in the 2023-24 campaign and failed to register any goal contributions in 15 outings.
Emile Smith Rowe
It is perhaps testament to the progression of Arteta’s side that Emile Smith Rowe, once touted as one of the finest players to ever come out of Arsenal’s academy, is now facing an uncertain future at the club.
Smith Rowe has struggled with securing a sport under Arteta, and his fitness concerns have seen him fall down the pecking order at the Emirates.
The attacker has two years left on his contract but could be sold on for a reasonable fee, with Aston Villa long-term admirers of the midfielder. It would be the right thing to do for the player, who can still break into the England squad in the years to come.
Gabriel Jesus
Gabriel Jesus has really struggled to find form at Arsenal despite making a huge impact when he first arrived. Arteta had dropped him in favour of Kai Havertz, and the move paid off.
Jesus was sold by Man City for a reason, as harsh as that may be, and the Gunners, if they are to win titles too, must look to do the same. It was money spend that really should have gone elsewhere.
