Ineos have lost power already at Man Utd
Erik ten Hag appears fully in control at Manchester United, despite reports suggesting Ineos are in the driving seat.
The 54-year-old manager is on the verge of signing a new contract and is set to welcome two new assistants, Rene Hake and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
This indicates that Ineos is granting the Dutchman significant influence at the club, countering the notion that he would be limited to just coaching the players.

"After thorough consultation, they concluded that Ten Hag remains the most suitable person for the job," wrote journalist Geert Langendorff. "Ineos lost the initiative abruptly as Ten Hag presented a strong package of demands, including an improved contract."

"With the confirmation of the news of René Hake's upcoming appointment as assistant at Manchester United, the management of the Premier League club was in jeopardy. The choice for the coach of Go Ahead Eagles could only have come from coach Ten Hag."
After Man Utd conducted a review of the season, they concluded that Ten Hag was the right man for the job.
The club held talks with the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Robert De Zerbi but the FA Cup win over Man City was enough to persuade them to keep Ten Hag.
Ten Hag gaining power
Ten Hag was on holiday with his family when Red Devils executives visited and asked him to remain on as the head coach, Ten Hag has taken the lead and it's thought that Hake's arrival confirms he has the power.
"Anyone who still had doubts about the foundation underpinning his position has received an answer with the impending appointment of Hake," Langendorff concluded. "With Hake, Ten Hag gets a confidant, not a stooge from Ineos."
Nistelrooy is set to be the new assistant. The former footballer has been without a club since he departed from PSV last year. The former striker has been linked to Leicester City and Burnley but is now set to return to Old Trafford.
The forward is highly-rated for his coaching career but left PSV after disagreements. There is an idea that Man Utd may look to see the Dutchman take over the job once Ten Hag departs in the future,
