Man Utd make SHOCK move for Chelsea flop at Euro 2024
Manchester United have launched a shock move for Spain’s Euro 2024 striker Alvaro Morata.
That is according to Turkish journalist Berat Kunt, who reports that United are ready to pay the €12 million clause in Morata’s Atletico Madrid contract.
United are in the market for a striker this summer in a bid to ease the pressure on last summer’s €85 million signing Rasmus Hojlund.

Manager Erik ten Hag wants an experienced striker to help the younger Hojlund.
At the age of 31, Morata is considered the right man to fulfill this job.
Morata to return to Premier League?
This news may come as a surprise for many Premier League fans as Morata endured a dismal couple of seasons at Chelsea between 2017 and 2019, scoring just 24 goals in 72 games and being criticised for his poor finishing.

However, Morata has still enjoyed a hugely successful career playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world in Real Madrid, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
He also has a hugely impressive 36 goals in 75 games for the Spain national team and has had an excellent start to Euro 2024.
Morata has led the line brilliantly flanked by young wingers Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal as Spain have won both their opening games against Croatia and Spain.
Juventus have also been linked with bringing Morata back to Turin for what would be a third spell.
Morata is understood to want to leave Atletico this summer and he recently complained publicly about his role at the club.
The striker scored 21 goals in all competitions for Atletico last season.
