Man Utd winger to be axed after agent BLASTED Ten Hag
Facundo Pellistri is poised for a surprising move to Brazil this summer following unsuccessful loan spells from Manchester United.
Since joining the Red Devils in 2020, Pellistri's career has not met the high expectations set for him. The 22-year-old Uruguayan winger was signed from Penarol for approximately £7 million, with hopes that he would become a first-team regular.
However, Alejandro Garnacho has overshadowed Pellistri, and with Amad Diallo also progressing well, it has reduced his chances of securing a spot in the starting XI.

Now Uruguayan journalist Sebas Giovanelli reports that Flamengo aims to sign the young international this summer. The Brazilian club has a positive working relationship with the club - they concluded a successful negotiation of Andreas Pereira's loan move in 2021, which eventually led to his sale to Fulham.
Currently, it is unclear whether the deal would be a loan or a permanent transfer. However, with Man Utd looking to raise funds in the coming months, the club may favour a permanent sale. Pellistri’s contract with United runs until 2025, with an option for the club to extend it by an additional year.
The youngster saw limited action under Erk ten Hag last season, amassing just 366 minutes across 14 appearances for the Red Devils.

Unsurprisingly, Pellistri embarked on his third loan spell after two previous stints with Alaves in LaLiga. His agent, Edgardo Lasalvia, openly criticised the Red Devils boss, stating to Sport 890:
"Whether he returns to Manchester mid-year will depend on his performance. If Ten Hag remains, it’s going to be difficult. Ten Hag hasn’t used him, valued him, or treated him like a professional.”
Ten Hag has faced multiple controversies regarding fallouts with players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, and Jadon Sancho was sidelined for four months before being loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January.
