Greenwood AGREES to join European giants, Man Utd set HUGE asking price

Mason Greenwood has agreed to join Juventus next season, with the Italian giants now opening negotiations with Man Utd.

That is according to Sky Sport Italia, who report that Greenwood has given the green light to join Juventus.

There are a number of pieces that must now fall into place before Juventus can complete a deal.

First of all, Juventus must agree on a price with Man Utd. The Red Devils are asking for €50 million to sell but Juventus are unlikely to go higher than €30m given Greenwood’s contract expires in 2025.

Juventus must also sell some players first to raise cash, with Federico Chiesa on the market.

The Bianconeri are incredibly busy in the transfer window currently. They have wrapped up a deal for Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, who will replace Wojciech Szczesny, who is in talks to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

Juventus are also in advanced talks to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa for €20m with Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie going the other way in exchange.

The Old Lady are also in talks to sign Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners and Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori.

Greenwood to leave Man Utd?

Greenwood is certain to leave Manchester United this summer.

He joined Getafe on loan last summer after Manchester United concluded their investigation into the criminal charges he was facing last year, which have since been dropped.

United announced that Greenwood would look to continue his career away from Old Trafford, having not played a game since January 2022 following his arrest by police.

Greenwood impressed for Getafe. He scored 10 goals and got seven assists in 36 games in all competitions.

Sentiment among fans and the public in England is still negative towards Greenwood, making it easier for him to continue his career outside of the country.
