Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain both want to sign Arsenal defender William Saliba this summer, according to reports.

The France international has shone since returning to the Gunners in 2022, after two loan spells away, and he is now being chased by clubs across Europe.

Saliba has three years left on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium, while he has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €58.8 million. However, Arsenal are unlikely to let the 23-year-old leave this summer.

Despite this, both Real Madrid and PSG are eyeing a move for Saliba, according to CaughtOffside, as they look to bolster their defensive options.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side are also interested in Lille wonderkid Leny Yoro, who has frequently been compared to his compatriot Raphael Varane, while PSG are reportedly willing to sell Milan Skriniar in order to sign a new centre-back.

Both clubs have been following Saliba for some time, although an Arsenal exit remains an unlikely possibility as things stand.

Arsenal’s summer transfer business

While selling Saliba is unlikely to happen, Arsenal could sanction the departures of Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah.

The English trio were all rotation options during the 2023-24 campaign and could be sold in order to fund Arsenal’s summer transfer plans.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a new centre forward and a new central midfielder, although their pursuits of Benjamin Sesko and Douglas Luiz have ended in disappointment.

The former has signed a contract extension at RB Leipzig, while the latter has officially left Aston Villa to join Juventus.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League table last season and will be hoping to go one better next time around as they prepare for another title battle with Pep Guardiola’s dominant Manchester City side.
