Aston Villa’s summer transfer business
Earlier this window, Villa sold talismanic midfielder Douglas Luiz to Juventus, but they have moved quickly to secure replacements.
Onana is the third central midfielder to join the Midlands-based club this summer, along with Enzo Barrenechea and Ross Barkley.
In addition, Aston Villa have also re-signed Cameron Archer and Jaden Philogene, while Ian Maatsen, Samuel Iling-Junior and Lewis Dobbin have arrived too.
The Villa Park outfit finished fourth in the Premier League table last season, securing Champions League qualification in the process.
