West Ham have struck a deal to sign Crysencio Summerville, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Leeds United winger is inching closer to leaving the Championship side. Despite netting a whopping 20 goals in league play last season, Summerville could not fire Daniel Farke's side back into the Premier League.

This has thrown his future into doubt, though Leeds' sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham made the club confident that they could keep hold of the Dutchman by alleviating any financial concerns.

Now, however, it looks as though Summerville is also heading for the exit. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old winger has agreed terms with West Ham and a club-to-club deal has also been struck.

Last week, the Hammers launched an initial bid for the attacker and, after a new round of talks, a package of around €30 million has been agreed, the Italian transfer expert reports.

Bad news for Chelsea

Romano's latest update on Summerville's future is not good news as far as Chelsea are concerned. Despite having already been very busy this window, the Blues remain in the market for a right-footed winger.

However, two top targets for the position are now slipping away. Nico Williams, whom Chelsea have been reluctant to sign due to his price, has reportedly decided to remain at Athletic Club, while Summerville now looks close to West Ham.

Chelsea's winger options appear to be growing increasingly thin, but left wing is a position that the Blues really ought to strengthen. Neither Raheem Sterling nor Mykhailo Mudryk have really set the world alight.

A real difference-maker like Summerville or Williams in that role could take Enzo Maresca's side to the next level. It now remains to be seen whether Chelsea will still dip into the market for a winger in the final month of the window or whether they will stick with their offensive options for the time being.
