Fabrizio Romano announces major Chelsea signing
Fabrizio Romano has announced that Chelsea have completed the signing of Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors.
A 20-year-old centre-back, Anselmino will remain on loan with the Argentine side “at least” until January as Todd Boehly’s outfit continue to build a group of players with an eye for developing talent for the future.
Chelsea are ready to pay in the region of €18.4 million (£15.5m) for the youngster, who has been destined to commit his future to the Stamford Bridge outfit for well over a week.

Romano announced via X: “Aaron Anselmino to Chelsea, here we go! Deal just completed for 2005 born Argentinian centre-back.
“Details sorted with Boca Juniors, Chelsea will pay package in excess of $20m.
“Anselmino will travel to UK on Monday.
“He’s staying at Boca Juniors on loan at least until January.”

Romano: Jorgensen set to follow
Previously, Romano announced that Filip Jorgensen was poised to be Chelsea’s next signing via YouTube, with a deal to add the Villarreal goalkeeper to Enzo Maresca’s ranks also close to fruition.
“The next signing for Chelsea will be Filip Jorgensen, the Danish goalkeeper of Villarreal,” he said.
“The agreement is being completed as I record this video on Friday night. Chelsea are finalising the agreement between the clubs for a €25m package.
“It’s a long-term contract for the player, who has already accepted, and there are some small details of the team to be finalised – payment terms, that type of thing – and then he will be a here we go.
“Chelsea will have a new goalkeeper. Djordje Petrovic is expected to leave. It will be Jorgensen against Robert Sanchez to fight for the position of Chelsea’s first goalkeeper.”
Chelsea have already completed six major transfer signings for their first team this summer, the most expensive of whom has been Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester.
