Chelsea make 'concrete written offer' for €30m Bundesliga wonderkid
Chelsea and Aston Villa have submitted formal offers for Maximilian Beier, according to German media.
The Hoffenheim starlet is coming off a breakout Bundesliga season that saw him rewarded with a call-up to Julian Nagelsmann's Germany squad for Euro 2024.
Though he only featured for 25 minutes at the tournament on home soil, Beier remains one of the most highly-rated prospects in German football. The 21-year-old netted 16 times last term, which put him on the map as far as Europe's elite is concerned.

Prior to January, Liverpool were heavily linked with the forward, but no move ultimately materialised, with Beier determined to finish the season with Hoffenheim.
This summer, it is expected to be a different story despite the fact that no move has so far materialised. Beier has a €30 million release clause and clubs remain interested.
Chelsea make offer
According to Sky Germany, Chelsea and Aston Villa have submitted 'concrete, written offers' for Beier, with the player expected to make a decision on his future within the next two weeks.
However, these two Premier League heavyweights are not the only interested parties, with Beier having also received enquiries from two different clubs outside of Germany, while Juventus and Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen are also keen, though they will first have to raise some funds.

Beier remaining with Hoffenheim is 'basically out of the question,' according to journalist Florian Plettenberg. He did, however, state that the offers that have come in for him so far have only been for the player's side.
Club-to-club negotiations are not yet taking place, nor have Hoffenheim been informed that anyone is willing to trigger his release clause. Ultimately, though, it would be a major surprise if Beier were to stay.
