Raheem Sterling could reportedly leave Chelsea this summer as the Blues continue their squad overhaul. Sterling, 29, moved to west London for €56.2 million in 2022, but he has been unable to replicate his Manchester City form since his Stamford Bridge switch.

Chelsea are now pondering a sale and could offload Sterling before the 2024 summer transfer window shuts, according to Nicolo Schira.

The former England international has three years left on his current contract with the Blues and previous reports have indicated that he is likely to remain in west London as he looks to prove himself at the club.

Sterling scored eight goals and provided four assists in 31 Premier League appearances last season, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) now stands at €53.7m.

The 29-year-old is set to face competition from Mykhailo Mudryk and potentially Nicolas Jackson or Christopher Nkunku this campaign, and Schira suggests that he could leave Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea’s transfer business

Meanwhile, FootballTransfers understands that Chelsea will struggle to force out Trevoh Chalobah, despite his omission from their pre-season tour of the USA.

The Blues want to offload Chalobah, likely in order to generate pure profit, but we have been informed that the Englishman will only leave Chelsea if he receives an offer from a club with European football.

Furthermore, we understand that Enzo Maresca is the driving force behind Chelsea’s pursuit of a new goalkeeper. Djordje Petrovic has been offered to Genoa and the Blues are eager to sign a ‘keeper to compete with Robert Sanchez for the number one spot.

Mads Hermansen, Giorgi Mamardashvili and Filip Jorgensen are among the current options being looked at.

Chelsea have signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo so far this summer, although they are keen to add at least two or three more players.
