Chelsea Transfer News Today: Jorgensen deal CLOSE, flop exit CONFIRMED, Osimhen LATEST
Chelsea's busy summer transfer window is set to continue, with the Blues making brilliant progress in pursuit of Filip Jorgensen.
Head coach Enzo Maresca is keen on adding another goalkeeper who is capable with the ball at his feet to Chelsea's squad. This has resulted in the west London giants chasing Villarreal shot-stopper Filip Jorgensen.
The 21-year-old is one of LaLiga's most highly-rated goalkeepers and the top option for Chelsea. To avoid a potential hijack, the Premier League side have moved quickly for the Swedish-born Dane.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that personal terms had been agreed, with the youngster keen on the move to Stamford Bridge despite only recently penning a new long-term contract with Villarreal.
Now, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that an agreement is close to being reached to sign Jorgensen. The LaLiga side were holding out for €25 million, while Chelsea's initial bid clocked in at €20m. Following an improved offer, talks are proceeding to the final stages.

Sarr departs
Forgotten defender Malang Sarr has officially departed Chelsea. The Frenchman last featured for the Blues in May 2022 and was not part of last season's senior squad despite being fully fit.
Though he still had a year to run on his contract, Chelsea have agreed to a contract termination, allowing the 25-year-old to join Ligue 1 outfit RC Lens.
Sarr had already wanted to return to France in January, but Chelsea failed to process all the necessary paperwork in time and so a proposed move to Le Havre collapsed.

Osimhen latest
Fabrizio Romano continues to insist that Chelsea are out of the race for Victor Osimhen. Speaking on a live stream, he said: “I’m not aware of anything fresh between Chelsea and Osimhen.”
The position of Chelsea remains that the Nigerian is too expensive and this is unlikely to change anytime soon. Nevertheless, the Blues will be intently following the transfer saga surrounding the striker.
It remains the case that Napoli are desperate to sign Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku as a replacement for Osimhen, with the Belgian waiting in the wings to join up with his new team. However, Napoli won't make a formal move until Osimhen has been sold.
Anselmino set for medical
According to reports in Argentina, Aaron Anselmino is set to undergo a medical in the US and join up with Chelsea for their pre-season tour shortly.
The Boca Juniors defender is on the verge of completing a move worth a little over €20m, with the Blues recently reaching an agreement for his arrival.
The 19-year-old centre-back is expected to remain in Buenos Aires until January before potentially making a loan move to Strasbourg depending on how many loan slots Chelsea will have left over at that point.
