Fabrizio Romano confirms Leny Yoro is being forced to join Man Utd
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Lille are pushing for Leny Yoro to accept Manchester United’s offer over that from Real Madrid.
The two giants are battling over the 18-year-old defender, who shone for Lille in Ligue 1 this past season, playing 44 matches across all competitions and catching the attention of numerous clubs.
Although PSG also carry an interest in Yoro, whose contract runs out next year, it is Man Utd and Real Madrid who have made formal offers for the teenager.

However, the offer from Man Utd of around €50 million plus bonuses is much higher than Real Madrid’s proposal.
Therefore, as Romano explains, Lille are trying to force Yoro to move to United.

What did Romano say?
“Leny Yoro will decide his future in the next days and it will be the player deciding,” Romano said on Playback.
“The proposal from Manchester United is still on the table, is still there, is still valid, is still accepted by Lille and still pending on player’s side. Leny Yoro is taking his time to decide.
“The president of Lille, Olivier Letang, is insisting a lot, pushing a lot for Leny Yoro to accept the proposal from Manchester United because Man United are offering way more than Real Madrid – €50 million (£42m) plus add-ons.
“So, Lille are pushing for the player to go to Manchester United. The player is still taking his time, with Real Madrid his biggest dream.”
It has been widely reported that Yoro would prefer to join Real Madrid, but will he bow to Lille’s pressure and move to Man Utd instead?
United are currently in negotiations for three central defenders; Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich, Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton, and Yoro.
They have also been linked with making an enquiry for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.
