City have won the Premier League in six of the last seven seasons but their dynasty appears to be on the ropes, with speculation surrounding a number of their stars.

Kevin de Bruyne and Ederson have been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia, while the likes of Rodri and Bernardo Silva are thought to be wanted by a host of major European sides.

And Pep Guardiola could be set to deal with even more drama surrounding his stars after reports that Julian Alvarez has requested the club sell him this summer.

According to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, Alvarez rejected a contract extension at the end of the season and has instead asked to leave.

The 24-year-old still has a deal until 2028 and the offer from City would have been a one-year extension on improved terms, however Alvarez has now asked the club to give him a ‘logical selling price’.

While the reasons over Alvarez’s apparent desire to leave have not been revealed, it had previously been suggested that the World Cup winner believes he will not be able to oust Haaland as the starting striker for City.

Atletico Madrid were reported to have had a loan offer turned down for Alvarez in recent times, while Real Madrid and Barcelona are thought to have always admired the forward.
