Man Utd to appoint another transfer guru after Ashworth - Ornstein
Manchester United are working to appoint transfer guru Christopher Vivell, according to David Ornstein.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe's INEOS revolution at Man Utd is in full swing. Earlier this year, the billionaire appointed Omar Berrada as the club's new CEO, while Jason Wilcox later joined as technical director.
On Monday, the Red Devils were also able to finally hire Dan Ashworth as sporting director after months of haggling with Newcastle United over a compensation fee. The 53-year-old has already been officially announced by the club.

Now, Man Utd are working to appoint yet another transfer specialist, though initially only on a short-term basis. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Man Utd are in negotiations with recruitment expert Christopher Vivell to bring him on board for the summer transfer window.
Who is Christopher Vivell?
Vivell has been out of a job for a year after being let go by Chelsea as part of a restructuring of the transfer staff. Well-known for his talent ID and expertise when it comes to recruitment, the 37-year-old is highly regarded in the industry.
The German also previously worked for RB Leipzig and thus boasts knowledge of operating within a multi-club system. This is viewed as valuable by INEOS, who also own Nice and Lausanne in addition to Man Utd, though it has been reported that they could look to sell their Ligue 1 club.

The former Chelsea technical director is initially only expected to supplement Man Utd's recruitment staff for the summer transfer window. It is not yet known whether he could eventually join Ratcliffe's team long-term afterwards.
Liverpool made a similar appointment last summer when they hired Jorg Schmadtke on a short-term deal to lead the club's summer recruitment. He departed the club after the January transfer window.
